How do I request coffee samples before placing an order?
Send the lots you want to compare, your courier account or address, and your destination. Green samples go out at 300 g per lot with the grading sheet and cup score; roasted samples go out at 1 to 2 kg per roast profile, which is what a production sign-off needs. Sample courier cost is credited against your first contract, and dispatch is usually within two working days of the request.
How quickly does the Jakarta desk reply to an enquiry?
Within one business day. The desk runs Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30 WIB and Saturday morning until 13:00 WIB. Enquiries that arrive overnight in Europe or the Americas are usually answered before your morning. Offer lists with current availability go out every Monday to buyers who ask to be on them.
Can we cup at your Jakarta laboratory before contracting?
Yes, and buyers taking season contracts usually do. The laboratory runs a sample roaster and a full table, and we will pull whatever lots you want to compare, including competitor samples you bring. Book at least a week ahead so the samples are roasted at the right rest time. Origin trips to Aceh, Kintamani, or Toraja can be arranged around the visit.
Should I use WhatsApp or email for a coffee offer?
WhatsApp for quick availability checks, shipping windows, and follow ups during Jakarta hours. Email at sales@nusantaraorigins.com when you need the grading sheet, cupping scores, certificates, or a proforma invoice attached. Both reach the same desk, and anything agreed on WhatsApp is confirmed by email before it becomes a contract.
