Half-container Indonesian coffee from Bali and Flores

Contract 9.6 MT of eligible Bali or Nusa Tenggara green coffee instead of committing to a 19.2 MT single-lot order.

Choose arabica or robusta for a smaller first contract, a seasonal single-origin line or a second supply origin. Every offered lot is graded, moisture checked and sampled before shipment, with specifications tied to the export lot. Tell us the coffee, grade, volume and destination port. Half-container allocation of Indonesian green coffee from Bali and Nusa Tenggara

Start with 9.6 MT instead of a full single-lot container

A standard 20 ft green coffee container carries approximately 19.2 MT, or 320 bags of 60 kg.

On eligible Bali and Nusa Tenggara lots, the minimum allocation is 9.6 MT, or 160 bags. This gives importers and roasters room to test a new origin, add a seasonal coffee or qualify a second supply source without placing 19.2 MT on one specification.

A 9.6 MT lot can also be combined with another compatible allocation in one 20 ft container. Each coffee remains separately bagged, numbered, graded and documented.

Availability is limited by harvest, grade and certification programme.

Half-container lots currently offered

  • Kintamani Bali Arabica

Washed arabica from subak abian producer groups on the slopes of Mount Batur.

Grade 1 selections cup approximately 84 to 86 points, with lower grades available for blend programmes. Organic and Fairtrade volume may be available when allocated against the physical lot.

    • Specialty roasters
    • Seasonal single-origin programmes
    • Organic or Fairtrade retail lines
    • Buyers combining Bali arabica and robusta
    • Minimum allocation: 9.6 MT

  • Pupuan Bali Robusta

Hand-sorted robusta from smallholder gardens in Pupuan and Tabanan.

This is the mildest robusta on our list, with approximately 2.0 to 2.4% caffeine. It is available from Grade 1 through Grade 6, with screen 13 up as standard and screen 16 up on request.

    • Espresso and roast-and-ground blends
    • Buyers seeking body without a hard robusta edge
    • Programmes using both arabica and robusta from Bali
    • Smaller certified or Halal supply programmes

  • Bajawa Flores Arabica

Natural-dried arabica from the Bajawa plateau, dried on raised beds for approximately 18 to 22 days.

Grade 1 selections cup approximately 84 to 86 points. The smaller harvest makes Bajawa suitable for seasonal menus and limited single-origin programmes rather than continuous high-volume supply.

    • Specialty filter and espresso programmes
    • Roasters seeking a smaller first Indonesian contract
    • Buyers building a multi-island offer

One 9.6 MT lot or two lots in one container

The 9.6 MT minimum is the commercial allocation for each eligible lot or grade. It does not automatically mean every destination can receive a dedicated half-filled container at an economical freight rate.

There are two common buying arrangements:

  • One 9.6 MT allocation

Order one eligible Bali or Nusa Tenggara lot. We confirm the available shipping or consolidation route and quote the freight arrangement for your destination.

  • Two 9.6 MT allocations

Combine two compatible allocations into one 19.2 MT, 20 ft container.

    • 9.6 MT Kintamani arabica plus 9.6 MT Pupuan robusta
    • 9.6 MT Bajawa arabica plus 9.6 MT Flores robusta
    • Two grades or origins selected for separate product lines

When a half-container allocation makes sense

For large soluble, extraction or continuous-volume programmes, Lampung and Kolaka robusta are normally better suited to full-container and recurring monthly contracts.

  • Test an Indonesian origin before contracting a larger seasonal volume
  • Add a limited single-origin coffee without overstocking
  • Launch separate arabica and robusta products in one shipment
  • Qualify a second origin for supply continuity
  • Split purchasing risk between two specifications
  • Serve a market that cannot absorb 19.2 MT of one coffee quickly

Frequently asked questions

Half-container minimums, mixed allocations, incoterms and certified volume.

Is the minimum exactly 9.6 MT?

For eligible Bali and Nusa Tenggara green lots, the normal minimum allocation is 9.6 MT, equivalent to 160 bags of 60 kg. Minimums apply by lot or grade and remain subject to current harvest availability.

Can I mix several coffees within 9.6 MT?

The standard minimum applies to one lot or grade. If you want multiple coffees, ask us to check the practical allocation. The usual arrangement is two 9.6 MT lots consolidated into one 19.2 MT container.

Can I order less than 9.6 MT?

Not under the standard green coffee export programme. Buyers requiring smaller quantities can ask about roasted or private-label production, where minimums are measured by roast profile rather than container volume.

Can arabica and robusta ship together?

Yes. Compatible 9.6 MT allocations can be combined into one booking, subject to current availability, routing and documentation requirements. Each coffee remains separately identified.

How long does shipment take?

Bali lots generally require approximately 3 to 4 weeks from contract. Nusa Tenggara lots may require approximately 4 to 5 weeks because the coffee moves by inter-island vessel before grading and stuffing. The quotation will state the current shipping window.

Which incoterms are available?

Green coffee can be quoted FOB, CFR or CIF. Tell us the destination port so we can confirm the appropriate loading port, route and current freight basis.

Is certified coffee available at the 9.6 MT minimum?

Certification depends on the physical lot and available allocation. Tell us whether you require Organic, Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, 4C or Halal documentation before samples are selected.

Can I receive samples before requesting a formal quote?

Yes. We dispatch 300 g green samples with the grading sheet and available cup data. Sample courier cost is credited against the first contract.
