Lot overview
Natural Bajawa green roasted Agtron whole bean 58 to 68. MOQ 300 kg per profile and grade.
The roast and how it cups
Agtron whole bean 58 to 68. Natural dried Flores green. Filter and pour-over programmes. Dispatch within seven days of roast.
Why the minimum is lower here
300 kg per roast profile and grade rather than 500 kg, because the natural Bajawa crop is a small allocation and the buyers who want it are usually specialty roasters and cafe groups testing an origin before committing. It is the easiest way onto our roasted range, and repeat orders scale up from there.
Packaging and lead time
250 g and 1 kg one-way valve bags in 12 kg cartons, private label or unbranded, 12 months unopened shelf life, roast date and lot number on the bag. Lead time is three to four weeks because the green travels from Flores by inter-island vessel, and dispatch is within seven days of roast.
Grades we quote on this arabica
Grade is a defect count, not a different coffee. The same island lot is offered from Grade 1 down to Grade 6 under SNI 01-2907, so tell us the row your roast and your cost line need and we quote against it. Specialty lots are graded on the SCA table as well, and the grade you contract is printed on the grading sheet that travels with the container.
| Grade | Defect value per 300 g | What buyers use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Grade 1 | 11 maximum | Grade 1: single origin roasting, screen 16 up, cupped 83 to 87 |
| Grade 2 | 12 to 25 | Grade 2: retail and horeca blends, 12 to 25 defect values |
| Grade 3 | 26 to 44 | Grade 3: volume blends, 26 to 44 defect values |
| Grade 4 | 45 to 80 | Grade 4: house blends, 45 to 80 defect values |
| Grade 5 | 81 to 150 | Soluble, liquid extract, and ready to drink production |
| Grade 6 | 151 to 225 | Extraction and industrial use, where the cup is rebuilt after processing |
Frequently asked questions
Ordering, samples, shipping, and payment.
Which green grade is roasted for this Flores coffee?
Grade 1 by default, because the berry and chocolate sweetness that justifies a light roast is exactly what a high defect count muddies. Grade 2 and 3 are roasted when a cafe group wants the origin at a lower cost per cup, and lower grades are better taken dark on another island. The minimum stays 300 kg per profile and grade.
What is the minimum order for roasted Flores arabica?
300 kg per roast profile and grade, the lowest on our list, because the natural Bajawa crop is small and the buyers who want it are usually specialty roasters and cafe groups trialling an origin. Sample roasts of 1 to 2 kg ship by air first so the profile is approved before production.
Why roast this natural coffee so lightly?
A well dried natural carries strawberry and blackcurrant sweetness over chocolate, and those disappear under a dark roast. Agtron whole bean 62 to 68 keeps them and suits filter and pour-over. Darker profiles are possible but produce a generic dark cup that any cheaper lot could deliver.
Why is the lead time three to four weeks?
The green moves from Flores to Java by inter-island vessel before it is roasted and packed, which adds a week over our Sumatra and Java lots. Dispatch is within seven days of roast, so the extra time sits before the roast rather than after it and does not cost you shelf life.
How long should this coffee rest after roasting?
Around seven to ten days for filter, which is roughly the transit time, so a shipment tends to arrive ready to brew. The one-way valve releases carbon dioxide without letting oxygen in, and roast date is printed on every bag so your team can schedule brewing rather than guess.
