How we source and grade
Nusantara Origins buys from collectors and producer groups on five islands, then re-dries, hulls and density-sorts every lot at partner mills before it reaches our Jakarta warehouse. We don't offer a lot until it has been sampled and cupped.
Roasters get the grading sheet and the cup score with the offer, importers get the same lot number on the sample and the bill of lading, and manufacturers buying robusta get the moisture and defect figures their intake lab will check anyway.
How we gradeQuestions buyers ask before ordering
- What coffee is available now?See the lots currently being quoted, including grades, minimums, lead times, and incoterms.
- Can I request samples?Choose an arabica, robusta, or roast-approval set with the relevant grading data.
- Can you roast coffee to my specification? We develop an agreed Agtron target and roast curve, then record it for repeat production.
- Which lots suit a specialty programme?Review cup-scored arabica lots with samples and grading sheets for menu-led programmes.
- Which coffees work in espresso blends?Compare robusta and arabica lots selected for body, crema, and consistent extraction.
- Can I secure supply across the season?Contract monthly shipments against one agreed grade and specification through the harvest.
